Did you know?
Childhood cancer research is severely underfunded, because it is considered ‘rare,’ yet over 4,000 kids are newly diagnosed with malignant brain tumors each year. Since pediatric cancer does not attract the attention of major drug researchers, organizations like Thea’s Star of Hope raise funds to support the research to find better treatments.
New therapies can help kids beat their cancer with treatments that have far fewer side effects. We can fund clinical trials with only a few hundred thousand dollars (as opposed to millions for adult trials), and there are FDA-Approved targeted therapies just waiting for trials in children - your donation has a significant impact and gets us a step closer!
Did you know that your employer may match your contribution to Thea's Star of Hope?
Many employers give back by matching their employees' charitable contributions, doubling or even tripling the gift impact to Thea's Star of Hope. Speak with your Human Resources representative for details about your company's matching gift program to learn how you can make your contribution go farther to help kids with pediatric brain tumors.
